CEYLON — Area churches continue the midweek Lenten services this Wednesday, March 8. Circle of Faith parishes will meet 6:30 p.m.at Trinity Lutheran Church in Welcome. The dual congregations of St. Paul’s in Wilbert and Our Savior’s Lutheran churches meet 6:30 p.m. at Our Savior’s this week with a light lunch following the service. St. John’s Lutheran in Sherburn has a 6 p.m. service followed by a meal. St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Sherburn has 5:30 p.m. services on Tuesday, March 7. All area residents are welcome to join any of these congregations for their services.

The LWML ladies group at St. Paul’s in Wilbert will meet 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 9. All members are urged to attend.

Lake Belt Bar and Grill will feature their fish fry meal on Friday, March 10. Check out the Facebook post for further information.

There is a Coffee Lovers group meeting from 8:30-10 a.m. every Thursday at the Lake Belt Bar and Grill. All area men and women are welcome to join them for good brew and fellowship.

There will be a cribbage tournament on March 11 and 18 at the Welcome Legion Hall beginning with registration at 1:15 p.m. All cribbage players are welcome.

Ceylon Fire Department Relief Association will sponsor a pancake feed from 9 a.m. to noon on March 12, with pancakes, French toast, ham and sausage, juice and coffee on the menu. Plan now to attend to celebrate Daylight Savings time and help a good cause. Don’t forget to turn your clocks ahead that day or Saturday night.

The Ceylon Community Day Auction and garage sale is April 15 this year. The non-profit group, Helping Hands of Ceylon, plan to have a garage sale and would welcome donated items for the sale. Contact any of the directors for more information. Barb Kronback at (507)
