A pancake brunch sponsored by the Ceylon Fire Department will be held on March 12 instead of Feb. 12 so area residents may attend the Welcome pancake feed on Feb. 12. Their pancake breakfast runs from 8 a.m. to noon at the Welcome Legion and features pancakes, sausage, and fried potatoes.

For the month of February, American Red Cross blood drives in our area will be held Feb. 14-16 at the Best Western in Fairmont, and noon to 6 p.m. on Feb. 27 at at St. Paul’s UCC in Welcome. To make an appointment or find locations and times for the blood drives, call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767), or go online at www.redcrossblood.org. There is a drastic need for blood now so give if you can. Each donation of blood may save up to three people’s lives. Thank you for giving blood.
