On Tuesday, filing for open seats on the Fairmont School Board and for the City of Fairmont ended.

Incumbent Randy Lubenow and Deb Foster are running for the open Ward 3 seat. Jay Maynard and Jon Davis are running for the Ward 1 seat, which is being vacated by Bruce Peters.

The race for Fairmont mayor is between Charles Pearson and Lee Baarts.

Three seats are open on the Fairmont School Board. Mike Edman filed to retain his seat. Mari Myren also filed to retain her seat. Incumbent Rufus Rodriguez did not file to retain his seat. Jen Harris filed for the open seat.
