Ceylon Legion and Sons of the American Legion (SAL) met on Tuesday with some of the Welcome Legion members and vice commander of the Second District of MN Legion, Pam Krill, to explore a possible merger of the two legion posts. Krill mentioned that there are protocol to follow and that both posts were agreed. She mentioned the mutual respect shown by both posts and the members agreed that they all want to “do it the right way.” The main reason for the merger was low meeting attendance. The Ceylon post has a SAL group but Welcome doesn’t. They both have an auxiliary to consider. The groups will meet again on July 12 with Krill and iron out some of the details.
