Dunnell Fire Department plans event
WELCOME — This weekend the Sherburn Festival is planned as well as the Sherburn High School reunion. Most of the festivities are at the Sherburn City Park. Welcome Summer Festival is scheduled for July 15 and 16. There are usually city-wide rummage sales and if anyone wants their rummage sale to be on the map which is usually at Casey’s they should email welcomefestival1890@gmail.com by July 1, with name, address, and pertinent information. Anyone interested in parade units, should call (507) 236-1791. There will be a vendor show at Keck Park beginning 10 a.m. on July 16, and to get information about that please contact Amanda Kleinschmidt on messenger on Facebook. There are Summer Festival tickets available for $10 each. The prizes are coolers and Blackstones and gift cards for Welcome Meats. There are also gift cards to the Old 16 Bar and Grill, Tami’s on the Ave. in Fairmont, and the Welcome Legion. The drawing will be held July 16 at the festival. You need not be present to win. But don’t miss all the fun in Welcome that weekend.
