WELCOME — Welcome City Council met Tuesday evening, May 17. As they went through the regular agenda, a suggestion was made that the Youth Hockey charitable gambling report be updated and explained at the next meeting. The council agreed. The council also agreed to apply for a small town grant from Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation in anticipation of large bills coming in the next few years.

City employee report talked about weed spraying and mowing which are almost done. The Cemetery was specifically mentioned and plans for mowing two times before Memorial Day were approved. The water meters are progressing better than before. They need to be installed by the end of May. If anyone needs installation, please call Welcome City Hall at (507) 728-8740 as soon as possible.

The council went into closed session with the city attorney.
