CEYLON — Our Savior’s Lutheran Church has Saturday evening services at 5:30 p.m. tonight in Ceylon. St. Peter Lutheran Church in Ceylon has 8:30 a.m. services on Sunday, and the ladies group will quilt beginning 9 a.m. on Wednesday and Thursday. St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Wilbert will have 9:30 a.m. Sunday services and their voter’s meeting after the service. All area residents are welcome to come to any of these services.

The Coffee Lovers group will meet 8:30-10 a.m. Thursday in the back room at Legends ll in Ceylon. All area men and women are welcome to join them for great brew and good fellowship.

Ceylon will have their Clean Up Day on May 21. There will be curbside pick up of items with a tag. Tags may be purchased at the city hall. This is a good opportunity to get rid of junk for a small fee, that may be an ordinance violation and charge later. Clean up Ceylon, if each one does their part, it will be noticed. Thank you for helping.

In the past there have been Tuesday coffee hours at area churches. St. Peter Lutheran Church usually had one in July but they will not be having the Tuesday coffee hours this year.

The ladies group at St. Peter Lutheran Church will meet 1:30 p.m. the first Wednesday (May 4) of the month. Plan to attend.

There is an American Red Cross blood drive from 12:30-5:30 p.m. Monday, April 25, at Martin Luther High School in Northrop. To make an appointment and find other blood drives and times available, call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or go online at www.redcrossblood.org. There are no walk-ins available due to Covid protocol. There is a severe need for blood now. Give blood if you are able. Thank you. There is also a blood drive planned in Sherburn in June.
