WELCOME — The Old 16 Bar and Grill will have a 6 a.m. breakfast sandwiches available on Saturday. In the evening there will be ‘Karaoke with Butch and Friends’ from 7 p.m. to midnight. They have been closed on Monday but now will be open from 3-10 p.m. on Mondays. Also, check out their April specials.

Welcome Legion will meet 7 p.m. Monday at the Welcome Legion Hall. All members are urged to attend.

Welcome Fire Department will have a special event to color Easter Eggs at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, at the Welcome Legion Hall. This is for children of all ages.

The week before Easter is traditionally called Holy Week and special services are scheduled at area churches. Circle of Faith parishes will meet 6:30 p.m. on Maundy Thursday at Waverly Lutheran Church north of Welcome. On Good Friday they will meet 6:30 p.m. at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Ceylon. All area residents are welcome to join them for services.
