Mayo mobile clinic next week

SHERBURN – Due to impending weather concerns, Ruby’s Pantry food distribution at the Regional Worship Center in Sherburn was postponed from Monday, Feb. 21, and will now be held 5:30-7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 28. This is a food distribution for anyone, there are no

income or residential guidelines. Come with an empty trunk and the volunteers will put the boxed groceries in your car.

Sherburn Mayo Mobile Clinic will take place 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Feb. 28, and Wednesday, March 2, by the Sherburn City Hall. To make an appointment at that mobile clinic, call (507) 238-8500.

The Temperance Lake Memory Cafe will have their 3 p.m. meeting on Monday, Feb. 28, at the Temperance Lake Ridge facility. The meeting is open to those who are caregivers or family of any dementia patients. All are welcome.

This week, Feb. 21-26 is National FFA Week and the chapter at Martin County West School kicked off the week with a barn dance last weekend. They will have activities for 7th to 12th graders, called AG Olympics, in the gym periodically. On Thursday, Feb. 24,

they will have their usual pancake breakfast for FFA members and business members and farmers that have donated to the chapter’s corn drive this year. They will also have trivia contests and a medallion hunt. MCW FFA officers include: Jacob Fiala, Lauren

Borchardt, Tanner Sinn, Isaac Streimer, Kiley Bettin, Zoie Thate, and Brock Lange. Congratulations on all the hard work and special events done during the year.

The Sherburn Theatre will have ”Dog” as the movie for Feb. 25-27. Movie times are 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 4 p.m. on Sunday. This movie is a new release and very good in my opinion. We saw it with a full house on Saturday last week.

Martin County West School athletics continues this week. The girls basketball has sub sectional tournaments on Thursday. The boys basketball team will travel to New Ulm for a game against MVL at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Saturday, the wrestling team goes to Redwood Falls for a sectional tournament at 10 a.m.
