MCW welcomes new superintendent

SHERBURN — July 1st was the official date for Cori Reynolds to begin as superintendent of the Martin County West School District. She says she has lots of questions to ask, people to meet, ideas to explore

and is anxious to get to work for the students, staff and community. Her family, who is joining her in Sherburn, consists of her husband, Brian, who is a paraprofessional for an online school who also coached 8th grade baseball team while they lived in Brainerd.

Mrs. Reynolds was the director of Community Education and Communications for Brainerd School since 2014. She also worked in Foley, Minn. for community education and gifted and talented for

three years. She worked in the metro area for North St. Paul-Maplewood-Oakdale Schools and West St. Paul-Mendota Heights-Eagan Schools prior to that.

Her youngest son, Elliot, will be in fourth grade in Trimont and is excited to play tackle football, and

baseball. There are three older stepsons.

Nolan graduated from Brainerd High School this year and plans to attend Waldorf University. He may be home in Sherburn for summer and school breaks. The oldest lives in the Twin Cities and the second oldest

lives in Brainerd.

Reynolds also has three granddaughters. And Maggie the dog rounds out the family.

Reynolds grew up in south Minneapolis and attended Washburn High School. She went to North Park University in Chicago, and after teaching for several years, decided that would be her career. She attended the University of Minnesota for educational leadership and obtained her superintendent license from St. Cloud State. She mentioned that the family has already been warmly welcomed and she is looking forward to getting to know everyone.
