Meals on Wheels available

TRUMAN — There will be a drive-by, stop-a-bit and visit bridal shower from 10-11:20 a.m. Saturday for Lindsey Maloney, bride-to-be of Josh Hoppe, both of Truman.

The shower will be held outdoors at Josh’s home at 806 E. Second St. N. in Truman. A table will be in the driveway for those who wish to just drive by.

Refreshments will be provided for all.

Parents of the couple are Wayne and Becky Maloney and Jeff and Jean Hoppe, all of Truman.

Truman City Council will meet 5:30 p.m. Monday in the meeting room at the fire hall in Truman. These meetings are open to the public, with a time set aside for questions/comments. Masks are required.

Wednesday is recycling day. Please place your recycling container curbside by 7 a.m. The front should face the street with all cardboard flattened and placed in the container.

Remember: egg cartons, pizza boxes, styrofoam and plastic grocery bags are not accepted. Most importantly, all items being recycled must be clean.

Meals on Wheels has resumed delivery of meals to the senior citizens of Truman. If you have questions about this service or would like to sign up for meals, call Holly Petersen at Heartland Senior Living in Truman at (507) 776-2031.

If you are having a garage sale Sept. 18-19, forms must be returned by Aug. 31 to be on the list of sales. Forms are available at Casey’s or contact Denise Lewison at (507) 236-3902 or edlewison @frontier.com
