WELCOME – Welcome City Council this week approved an actuary agreement for the relief association of the fire department.

In other business, the council:

o Held the first reading of Ordinance 49, concerning large brick or concrete structures for mail boxes being a road and mail carrier hazard.

o Discussed plans for the city clerk to attend the multi-hazard mitigation plan update meeting.

o Heard from city employee Max Longley, who discussed the old grader wing and the new grader. He said he is getting used to the new grader.

o Approved designated polls and election judges.

o Learned the next council meeting will be 6 p.m. Feb. 4 at City Hall.
