FAIRMONT — An Amboy man is facing felony charges in Martin County.

Cameron Lee Forbrook, 19, has been charged with two counts of possession of pornographic work involving a minor, both of which carry a maximum penalty of five years in prison and a $5,000 fine.

According to the complaint:

On April 23, a Martin County Sheriff’s deputy made contact with an investigator with the Nicollet County Sheriff’s Office regarding an ongoing investigation regarding Forbrook. During the course of the investigation into Forbrook’s role relating to criminal sexual conduct, law enforcement obtained a search warrant for Forbrook’s cell phone.

On April 25, law enforcement collected Forbrook’s phone and reviewed its contents. Law enforcement discovered several nude photographs and videos of what appeared to be underage females.

On May 1, the investigator interviewed an 18-year-old female. When shown some of the photos on Forbrook’s phone, she said the photos were taken of her, and that she sent them to Forbrook without coercion. The time stamp associated with the photographs, along with her statement, indicate the photos had been taken during February 2016, when she was under the age of 18.

Forbrook would have been 17 at the time, but continued to possess the photos until his arrest on April 11, 2018. Forbrook lived in Martin County, in rural Granada, from 2015 to 2017.

On May 3, the investigator interviewed a 17-year-old female who also confirmed that some of the photos discovered were of her, and that she sent them to him because otherwise he would break up with her. From her statements, it was determined that the photos were taken when she was 13 years of age, which would have been in 2014 to 2015. Forbrook would have been 16 years old at the time, but he again continued to possess the photos until his 2018 arrest.

On May 22, the deputy made contact with Forbrook at his registered address in Amboy, and he was then transported to the Martin County jail and advised of his rights. During the interview, Forbrook admitted to asking underage females for nude photographs while he was dating them. He confessed to having nude images of the two females while living in Granada when the females had sent him the photos and some videos.
