Science class coming up

TRUMAN — Congratulations to the Granada-Huntley-East Chain, Truman and Martin Luther High School Lady Jaguars basketball team, managers and coaches who will be competing this weekend at the State Girls Basketball Tournament. We’re proud of you and wish you well.

If you’re in grades 4-6 and would like to attend Mrs. Kutch’s after-school science class, you must pre-register for this class by Friday. Pre-registration is necessary to make sure there are enough supplies for the class, which will be held 3:15-4 p.m. Tuesday. Come and learn about space and the planets. There is no charge for the class. Register by emailing kutchm@truman.k12.mn.us

Lewisville Legion Auxiliary is holding its monthly chicken supper from 5-6:30 p.m. Sunday at the Lewisville Legion. This meal will be the last supper until this fall.

Open gym is sponsored by Truman Pride from 4-6 p.m. Sundays. Everyone is welcome to join in different activities, and the halls are open for walking and running. Sixth-graders and younger are to be accompanied by an adult to the open gym. Truman Pride is not responsible for making sure unaccompanied kids remain at open gym the entire time.

Garden barn quilt signs for teens to adults will be held 5:30 p.m. March 27, in the THS cafeteria. You must register by March 21. Call Courtney at (507) 327-6917 or email studerc@truman. k12.mn.us.

Prairie Ecology Bus Center is teaching the class. There are many designs to choose from, and all supplies will be included. The cost for this class is $25.

Be sure to wear paint clothes.

A bridal shower for McKenzie Ricard will be 2-4 p.m. March 25 in the basement at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Truman. McKenzie is the daughter of Mike and Theresa Ricard, and bride-to-be of Tyler Bode, son of Lane and Julie Bode from Sleepy Eye.

All knitters and crocheters can gather 4 p.m. every Wednesday in the commons area at the Booz Apartments, 221 West First Avenue North in Truman, to have fun, share ideas, and share patterns and techniques.
