Joshua J. Blanchard, 38, of Madelia was convicted on a felony charge of theft-take/use/transfer movable property without consent; fined $585, commit to Commissioner of Corrections 27 months, stayed five years, five years supervised probation, contact probation officer as directed, cognitive skill training such as “Thinking for a Change,” no alcohol/controlled substance use, no alcohol/controlled substance possession with the exception of prescribed medications, random testing, obtain permission from agent before leaving the state, follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact probation agent within 72 hours if charged with a new crime; are in contact with law enforcement; if changes address, employment, or telephone number, cooperate with search of person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, etc. by probation officer, give a DNA sample when directed, sign releases of information as directed, don’t use/possess firearms, ammunition, or explosives, don’t register to vote until discharged from probation and civil rights are fully restored. Additional felony charges of theft-take/use/transfer movable property without consent, and aid and abet-theft-take/use/transfer movable property without consent, were both dismissed.
Danika J. Freeman, 31, of Fairmont was convicted of driving after suspension; fined $285. Also convicted of driver fails to stop for stop sign; fined $285. Also convicted of operate unregistered vehicle without plates on public streets or highways; fined $285.
Jaylon D. Gentry, 21, of Brown Deer, Wis. was convicted of speeding; fined $225. Also convicted of no proof of motor vehicle insurance; fined $200.
Santos Perez Ponce, 27, of Fairmont was convicted of uninsured vehicle-owner violation; fined $200. Also convicted of driving without a valid drivers license for vehicle class or type; fined $185.
Douglas R. Ofstie, 52, of Ceylon was convicted of driving after cancellation-inimical to public safety; fined $385, sentenced to jail 365 days, stayed 365 days for two years, two years supervised probation, contact probation officer as directed, no alcohol/controlled substance use with the exception of prescribed medications, no alcohol/controlled substance possession with the exception of prescribed medications, random testing, no same or similar, obtain permission from agent before leaving the state, follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact probation agent within 72 hours if charged with a new crime; are in contact with law enforcement; if changes address, employment, or telephone number, cooperate with search of person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, etc. by probation officer, sign releases of information as directed, don’t use/possess firearms, ammunition, or explosives if prohibited by law. Additional charges of possess over 1.4 grams of marijuana in motor vehicle, possess/sale small amount of marijuana-no remuneration, and possession of drug paraphernalia-use or possession prohibited, were all dismissed.
Hannah T. Linse, 18, of Fairmont was convicted of no proof of motor vehicle insurance; fined $200. Also convicted of speeding; fined $135.
