Kathryn A. Karstedt, 63, of Fairmont received a stay of imposition pursuant to Minnesota statutes on a felony charge of fifth-degree controlled substance possession-not small amount of marijuana; fined $660, sentenced to jail three days, credit for time served three days, five years supervised probation, contact probation officer as directed, complete a chemical dependency assessment within 60 days and follow all recommendations for care and aftercare, complete a diagnostic mental health assessment and follow all recommendations for care and aftercare, no alcohol/controlled substance use, no alcohol/controlled substance possession, random testing, provide list of prescribed medications to probation officer, obtain permission from agent before leaving the state, follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact probation agent within 72 hours if charged with a new crime; are in contact with law enforcement; if changes address, employment, or telephone number, cooperate with search of person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, etc. by probation officer, give a DNA sample when directed, sign releases of information as directed, don’t use/possess firearms, ammunition, or explosives, don’t register to vote until discharged from probation and civil rights are fully restored. Additional charges of possess/sale small amount of marijuana-no remuneration, and possession of drug paraphernalia-use or possession prohibited, were both dismissed.
Chad M. Mart, 21, of Fairmont was convicted of driving after revocation; fined $285. Also convicted of failure of driver to carry proof of insurance when operating a vehicle; fined $200. Also convicted of unlawful deposit of garbage, litter or like; fined $185.
Tyler M. Rienhardt, 29, of Scranton, Iowa received a stay of imposition pursuant to Minnesota statutes on a felony charge of fifth-degree controlled substance possession-not small amount of marijuana; fined $100, sentenced to jail 20 days, credit for time served 20 days, five years supervised probation, sentence to service 10 days for indeterminate, contact probation officer as directed, complete a chemical dependency assessment within 90 days of sentencing and follow all recommendations for care and aftercare, complete a diagnostic mental health assessment within 90 days of sentencing and follow all recommendations for care and aftercare, no alcohol/controlled substance possession, random testing, obtain employment, maintain employment, provide list of prescribed medications to probation officer, no use or possession of firearms or dangerous weapons, obtain and complete GED within first two years of probation, obtain permission from agent before leaving the state, follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact probation agent within 72 hours if charged with a new crime; are in contact with law enforcement; if changes address, employment, or telephone number, cooperate with search of person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, etc. by probation officer, give a DNA sample when directed, sign releases of information as directed, don’t use/possess firearms, ammunition, or explosives, don’t register to vote until discharged from probation and civil rights are fully restored. Additional felony charge of third-degree controlled substance possession in school/park/public housing zone, and a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia-use or possession prohibited, were both dismissed.
Logan R. Sessions, 50, of Granada was convicted of failure of driver to carry proof of insurance when operating a vehicle; fined $200. Also convicted of operate vehicle with expired registration; fined $115.
