Josiah N. Jensen, 31, of Fairmont convicted of driving while impaired-alcohol concentration 0.08 within two hours; fined $810, sentenced to jail 365 days, stayed 335 days for two years, credit for time served three days, concurrent with other case, serve balance of time on electronic home monitoring with alco-sensor, work release granted, two years supervised probation, counseling if recommended, attend MADD impact panel, complete chemical assessment and follow all recommendations of evaluation, no alcohol/controlled substance use, random testing, no use or possession of firearms or dangerous weapons, follow all conditions set forth in the probation agreement, obtain permission from agent before leaving the state, follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact probation agent within 72 hours if charged with a new crime; are in contact with law enforcement; if change address, employment, or telephone number, cooperate with search of person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, etc. by probation officer, sign releases of information as directed, don’t use/possess firearms, ammunition, or explosives. Severtson, 27, of Albert Lea was convicted of fifth-degree controlled substance possession-not small amount of marijuana; fined $785, sentenced to jail 365 days, stayed 335 days for two years, credit for time served four days, serve balance of time on electronic home monitoring at defendant’s expense, two years supervised probation, complete chemical assessment and follow all recommendations of evaluation, no alcohol/controlled substance use, random testing, remain law-abiding, follow all conditions set forth in the probation agreement, obtain permission from agent before leaving the state, follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact probation agent within 72 hours if charged with a new crime; are in contact with law enforcement; if change address, employment, or telephone number, cooperate with search of person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, etc. by probation officer, sign releases of information as directed, don’t use/possess firearms, ammunition, or explosives. Additional charges of driving after revocation, failure of driver to carry proof of insurance when operating a vehicle, possession of small amount of marijuana-no remuneration, and possession of drug paraphernalia-use prohibited, were all dismissed.
