Healing Hearts Benefit in September Throughout the month of September, there will be a Healing Hearts Benefit sponsored by First Farmers & Merchants Bank. Donations are being sought. Items needed the most are paper towels, toilet paper, shampoo, body wash, deodorants, feminine products, cleaning products, waxed paper, cling wrap, tin foil, laundry detergent, fabric softener, dryer sheets, dishwasher pods, twin sheet sets, also larger items such as upright freezers, computers and printers. Sportsman Club sets shooting event East Chain Sportsman’s Club will hold a trap shoot event beginning noon Sunday, Sept. 8, at the club located a half-mile north of East Chain on 254th Avenue.
