Red Rock to host Memorial Day picnic Red Rock Center for the Arts will host their annual Memorial Day Picnic and Family Fun Day from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, May 27. East Chain plans Memorial Day events The 129th annual East Chain Memorial Day observance will be held Monday, May 27, at the East Chain Activity Center (old school building), rural East Chain. Coffee and donuts will be served 8:45 a.m., with the program getting underway around 9:30 a.m. Following the program, they will be honoring their deceased veterans at the dam in East Chain. Help sought for placing of flags Fairmont American Legion Post 36 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1222 will be placing American flags on veterans’ graves Saturday, May 25, at Lakeside Cemetery, Fairmont.
