Community worship at the Fair Community Worship Service at the Fair will be held 10 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 18, in the park at the Martin County Fairgrounds, Fairmont. The service includes live band worship and exciting faith stories. Prior to the service, donuts and coffee will be served at 9:30 a.m. The public is welcome. Bring a friend. Food drive this week at the Fair KSUM, 106.5 FM, the Photo Press and Sentinel, are teaming up again to begin the new Kamp for Kids food drive for the Fairmont Salvation Army this year at the Martin County Fair. The past few years the food drive has come up short, so they are going to help out again by having a non-perishable food drop off at the Martin County Fair from noon to 7 p.m. Aug. 12 through Aug. 18. Threshing Day Sunday at Heritage Acres Visit Heritage Acres, a historic farmstead in Fairmont, for threshing day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 11 at 507 Lake Ave. in Fairmont.
