CER to offer upcoming community activities Fairmont Community Education & Recreation (CER) will offer two upcoming community activities. Astronomy event at the Fairmont Municipal Airport The Martin County in Fairmont is teaming up with the Minnesota Astronomical Society and will bring an event including telescope viewing and a presentation at 7 pm, Thursday, Sept. 26, at the Fairmont Municipal Airport. The presentation will preface the star and telescope viewing when the sky darkens. Everyone is welcome, regardless of age. Church plans free meal on Wednesday First Congregational United Church of Christ in Fairmont will offer a free community meal beginning 5:30 p.m. until the food is gone on Wednesday, Sept. 25, at their church located at 319 Downtown Plaza in Fairmont.
