PIPESTONE – The No. 6 Fairmont Cardinals volleyball team fell to No. 3 Pipestone Area Arrows on Friday night during the opening round of the Section 3AA Volleyball Tournament. The Arrows’ 25-12, 25-23, 25-19 sweep ended the Cardinals' season with a 7-17 record. Pipestone Area will play at 7 p.m. next Tuesday at No. 2 Jackson County Central. Leslie Zarling finished the contest with 17 set assists for the Cardinals, while Brylee Miller put together eight kills and seven digs.
