TRIMONT – Chase Owens’ double-double effort propelled the Martin County West boys basketball team to a 55-32 victory over United South Central on Tuesday night at Martin County West Elementary. The Mavericks now improve to 2-16 on the season.

Owens finished his big night with 17 points and 11 rebounds. Talon Ebeling joined him with 10 points and six rebounds. USC’s Jaydin Barnick led the Rebels with 10 points.

MCW (2-16) hosts Madelia this Thursday at 7 p.m.
