ST. JAMES — An injury-laden and illness-plagued Martin County Red Bulls wrestling lineup lost a pair of dual meets on Tuesday night in St. James.

The Red Bulls, who were forced to forfeit weight classes each meet, lost a 42-28 decision to the host Saints and a 41-27 decision to the Waterville-Elysian-Morristown/Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton Grizzlies.

Even with the adversity that comes with having to forfeit matches, the Red Bulls found ways to individual success.

Despite the give-away points, the Red Bulls claimed six victories against St. James Area.

Class AA No. 9-ranked 121-pounder Pierce Rohman got the win over Judson Brekke on a technical fall in 3:23.

Ethan Siebring delivered a technical fall in 5:45 over the Saints’ Juan Esqueda, while twin brother Seth Siebring capped the first three Red Bulls’ victories with a pin in 3:56 of Damian Ramirez in the 133-pound bout.

Maddex Faber and Berent Kosbab also contributed to the Red Bulls’ cause with 9-7 and 8-6 decisions over Talyn Tande and Levi Miest, respectively.

Ty Kolbe recorded the Red Bulls’ second pin by flattening Dylan Reid in 59 seconds at 160.

The Red Bulls generated five wins against the Grizzlies.

Adam Denson claimed a forfeit for Martin County at 121, while Faber got his second victory of the night with an 11-1 major decision victory over Lucas Morsching.

Kosbab and Ty Kolbe each won their second matches as well for the Red Bulls. Kosbab stuck Patrick Adams in 1:06 at 152, while Kolbe downed Gavin Krause in 1:56 at 160.

The Red Bulls travel to Blue Earth Area on Thursday night.
