Spencer spikes by Warriors, 3-1
SPENCER — Chloe Loftsrom’s 13 kills weren’t enough to power the Warriors past the Tigers.
Spencer beat North Unionwith respective set scores of 25-16, 23-25, 25-18, 25-12 in a nonconference volleyball matchup in Spencer on Monday night.
Lofstrom complemented her 13 kills with 13 digs and 8 of 9 serving, while Carys Fuller led the Warrior defense with 26 digs and served 12-for-12 with three aces.
Lily Henderson dished out a team-leading 18 assists, while adding 16 digs and 9 of 10 serving, while Abby Deitering added 11 digs and went 7 of 9 serving.
North Union (2-12) plays host to Bishop Garrigan tonight in Armstrong.

Waseca defeats Fairmont ‘C’ grid
FAIRMONT — The Waseca Bluejays posted a 29-6 victory over the Fairmont Cardinals during C-squad football action Monday night in Waseca.
Jake Harris returned an interception 98 yards for a touchdown to account for the Cardinals’ only points.
Davis Maakestad rushed 15 times for 40 yards for Fairmont, Alexander Moeller recorded eight tackles, while David Barrientos chipped in five stops.
