Sioux Center tops North Union
GRANVILLE, Iowa — The North Union Warriors baseball team started the LeMars-Gehlen Tournament with a five-inning 20-9 loss against the Sioux Center Warriors on Friday.
Trent Pedersen hit a home run for the Warriors and collected four RBIs on 2-for-4 hitting for the North Union.
Blake Crawmer hit a double, going 3-for-4 at the plate, and scored twice.
Brody Fritche finished the game with two RBIs on 2-for-4 hitting with a run scored.
Tanner Doocy allowed 16 runs on 13 hits with four walks and four strikeouts in 3 2/3 innings in the loss.
Braden Pierce threw 1 1/3 innings, giving up three runs on four hits, while Elliott Hagebock allowed a run.
