FAIRMONT — The Cardinal Power 16U girls softball team swept the doubleheader against Worthington on Tuesday.

The Cardinals won the first game, 2-1, before capping the twinbill with an 11-3 victory.

Jen Moeller allowed only four hits and one unearned run while racking up eight strikeouts in the first game.

Autumn Wolf, Cambrie Anderson, Sydney Hainy, Marissa Steinhaus and Lydia Steinhaus all contributed one hit to the Cardinals’ offensive effort.

During the the second game of the doubleheader, Wolf and Whitney Scott both drove in two runs during the eight-run win.

Marissa Steinhaus took the mound and gave up three runs on four hits. She struck out one batter in five innings of work to pocket the win.

Fairmont plays on Tuesday at Hands Park.
