7th-grade hoops capture sweep

FAIRMONT — The Fairmont Cardinal seventh-grade boys basketball team swept Martin County West on Thursday.

Zach Jorgensen scored 10 points to guide the Cardinals’ A-team to a 36-21 victory.

Jacob Crissinger delivered nine points for Fairmont, while Jake Harris chipped in eight.

Fairmont downed Martin County West in the B-squad contest, 14-9.

Adam Petrowiak, Leban Gulled and Bennett Schaaf each scored four points to pace the Cardinals’ victory.
