CEYLON — During its meeting on Tuesday, the Ceylon City Council had the first reading of the Rural Service District amendment, which uses a ratio of 25 percent of the taxes of property owners who use the utilities of water, sewer, etc., for the owners of property who do not use those utilities since the land is primarily agriculturally used. FAIRMONT – Weather conditions and early reports from fishers point to a busy day on the lakes as the Fairmont Lakes Foundation hosts their spring fishing tournament on Saturday, May 16. This year, walleye and pan fish are the fish of competition. The fish are weighed on a certified scale donated by Avery Weigh-Tronix.
