BLUE EARTH— The Faribault County Board of Commissioners, at their meeting on Tuesday, approved one child care forgivable loan/ grant and six LHTF (Local Housing Trust Fund) grants. Faribault County Economic Development Authority specialist Danielle Hayter-Johnson brought the loan/grant applications before the board after the Faribault County EDA had given their preliminary approval to the items at their meeting on July 21. Ceylon approves purchases, replacements

CEYLON — The Ceylon City Council met on Tuesday, Aug. 4, a week early since the regular meeting date is filled with the Primary Election and the polling place is the City Hall in Ceylon. A resident requested the removal of the climbing round equipment at the park. The city agreed that they would remove the old equipment when the new park equipment was delivered. Sherburn discusses area daycare need

SHERBURN — The Sherburn City Council held its meeting on Monday evening. Several residents were at the meeting in support of the need for daycare in Sherburn. In the last month, two daycares have closed, leaving the remaining two daycares in Sherburn and one is ready to retire. According to the county licensor, there are no daycare license applications for western Martin County. An in-home daycare can only have one infant at a time.
