Is beautification of streets important? To the editor: How many people will decide to live in a town based on “beautification” of the streets? We need and are lucky that the street is going to be improved. Opinions fly about high taxes, so let’s not spend extra money on something only a few will pay attention to. Goldfinch Estates commendable care for residents To the editor: Fairmont and surrounding communities, I just had to write this so people of Fairmont realize what they have in respect to Goldfinch Estates. My sister and I moved our mother into a two bedroom apartment there one month ago. Her apartment is beautiful. This assisted living facility is top notch. Unfair and detrimental HUD housing practices Dear editor, I feel I must speak out for myself and many others in my current situation.
