Ceylon City Council talks bridge repairs

CEYLON — At the Ceylon City Council meeting on Tuesday, County Engineer Kevin Peyman discussed the resolution that named County Road 8 as in the city limits of Ceylon. The council approved the resolution. Peyman explained that this would help with funds for the road. Discussions about the bridge repairs this summer and fall were held, as the bridge on County Road 8 is one to be repaired. With big changes, commission holds rare meeting

FAIRMONT – The Civil Service Commission, which oversees police matters, had much to discuss at its yearly meeting on Tuesday. For starters, the Fairmont Police Department is looking to hire one more officer in 2026. Police Chief Mike Beletti said the posting was made available on Tuesday on the peace officer job board and the department’s website. Traetow provides budget, facilities outlook

FAIRMONT – The next few steps regarding budget and facilities at Fairmont Schools were laid out by Superintendent Andy Traetow during Tuesday’s School Board meeting. BLUE EARTH— The Blue Earth Area School Board took a “tour” of the School District’s website during its meeting on Monday.
