Federal veterans legislation stalled as state groups, locals push back

MARTIN COUNTY – The Take Care of America’s Veterans Act, a collection of around 60 bills related to veterans funding at the federal level, was pulled from being voted on last Friday by the U.S. House of Representatives due to pushback from veterans, including local voices. County EDA recommends Cress abatement

FAIRMONT – The Martin County Economic Development Authority (EDA) gave its recommendation to the Martin County Commissioners regarding the Cress refrigeration new building project tax abatement request at Tuesday's special meeting.
