CEYLON — A Cribbage Tournament will begin at 1:15 p.m. with registration today, Saturday, Dec. 13 at the Welcome Legion Hall. The plan is for another tournament on Dec. 20. All area cribbage players are welcome to join the afternoon of fun.

The Ceylon Fire Department Relief Association is planning a Pancake Feed from 9 a.m. to noon on Sunday, Dec. 14 in the back room of the Lake Belt Bar and Grill in Ceylon.

The Circle of Faith parishes have services at 9 a.m. at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Ceylon and Trinity Lutheran Church in Welcome. There will be a Sunday School program at 10:30 a.m. at First Lutheran Church in Trimont. St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Wilbert will have services at 10 a.m. since the call meeting has been postponed until Jan. 11.

The Welcome Santa Day will be from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 14 at the Welcome Legion Hall.

A CREST Lunch and Learn will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 17, at the First Lutheran Church in Trimont, and will have a Christmas Bingo game and lunch. These are free to all senior citizens in Martin County. CREST appreciates a free-will donation for the lunch.

Helping Hands of Ceylon will have a home decorating contest on Saturday, Dec. 20, so make sure your Christmas lights are on that day. There are plans for a first, second and third place monetary prize for the winners. The Helping Hands of Ceylon will have a Santa Day for children from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 20 across from the post office and next to the museum. Santa plans to come on a fire truck, treat bags will be passed out and cookies will be available. Bring your camera for a photo with Santa.

An Ugly Sweater Party will be from 7 p.m. to close on Saturday, Dec. 20 at the Lake Belt Bar and Grill in Ceylon. Winners in the individuals and couples categories will be announced at 10 p.m. Plan to attend.

The American Red Cross blood drive will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 19 and from noon to 6 p.m. on Dec. 30 at the American Legion Hall in Fairmont.
