President’s Day recognition Monday

Truman Lions Club burger bash will be held 5-7 pm. Saturday, Feb. 18, at the Truman Community Building. Enjoy a delicious hamburger, condiments, chips, beans and a beverage. Take-outs are available.

Lewisville Legion Auxiliary chicken supper will be 5-6:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 19, at the Lewisville Legion.

Presidents Day is Monday. All government offices will be closed.

Truman Public Schools will not have school on Monday.

Truman City Council will meet 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21, at the Truman Municipal Building. The change of date is due to President’s Day.

St. Paul’s Ev Lutheran Church will have a 7 p.m. Ash Wednesday service with holy communion.

The month of February is School Board Recognition Month. This time is meant to recognize the contributions made by our school board members to our school district. They spend countless hours attending monthly meetings; listening to ideas from parents, staff, students and community members; learning about educational issues; and participating in training opportunities. Lets say thank you to our Truman School board members. They are: Mike Pfeil, Paula Heckman, Jeff Nauman, James Farnum, Kenna Krahmer.
