The Ceylon City Council meeting originally scheduled for Tuesday has been rescheduled for 6 p.m. Aug. 17 at City Hall, because of the primary election Tuesday.

As a reminder, there is always time for public comments at the beginning of each meeting.

The deadline to file a candidacy application for city positions to be elected in November is Tuesday at City Hall. The positions to be elected are: mayor for a two-year term and two council positions for four-year terms.

The ladies of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church LWML in Wilbert will meet 1:30 p.m. Thursday, following social distancing and face-covering protocols. All members are encouraged to attend.
