Truman Days cancelled

TRUMAN — A drive-by, walk-by, stop-by bridal shower for Miranda Belgard, daughter of Elliot and Connie Belgard, and bride-to-be of Chris Tulowetzke, son of James and Angie Tulowetzke, will be held 10-11:30 a.m. Saturday at Graf Park in Truman.

n

Please be cautious of those who are out walking and biking. If you are riding your bicycle, be sure you are wearing your helmet.

n

Ruth Greier is celebrating her 93rd birthday Saturday with a card shower. Cards will reach Ruth at 222 S. Murphy St., Apt. 205, Lake Crystal, MN 56055. Ruth was a resident of Lewisville but has moved to a new residence.

n

Churches, salons, bars, restaurants, tattoo parlors and retail establishments are allowed to reopen as long as they follow the guidelines. It would be a good idea to call an establishment to make sure they are open.

n

Volunteers are needed to weed the mini golf course in Truman. You can weed any time it is open.

Also, if you have perennials to share, you can drop them off on the east side and then call the number posted so they can plant them, or you can plant them yourself.

Thank you. It takes a village.

n

After deep consideration, the mayor and City Council made the difficult decision to cancel Truman Days and the Truman all-school reunion because of the COVID 19 pandemic. They look forward to the July 2021 festivities.

n

There will be an organizational meeting for anyone interested in helping spruce up Truman on Tuesday. The one-hour meeting will be at 7 p.m. at Graf Park shelter.

They appreciate any donation given to Profinium or City Hall.

n

If you’re looking for something you or your children can do during “sheltering in,” you can go to creativememories.com and check out what they are offering. They have virtual programs such as crafts for the kids each week, virtual crops for individuals who enjoy making greeting cards, working with photographs, or scrapbooking. If you have questions, you may call Pat Jones at (507) 236-4433.
