Eckwright, 22, of Wells was convicted on a felony charge of third-degree controlled substance possession-10 grams or more of a narcotic drug other than heroin; fined $1,685, commit to Commissioner of Corrections 21 months, stayed for three years, sentenced to jail 25 days, credit for time served 25 days, three years supervised probation, contact probation officer as directed, complete your GED, complete diagnostic assessment, don’t leave Minnesota without written court approval, cognitive skill training, no alcohol/controlled substance use with the exception of prescribed medications, no alcohol/controlled substance possession with the exception of prescribed medications, random testing, follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact probation agent within 72 hours if charged with a new crime; are in contact with law enforcement; if changes address, employment, or telephone number, cooperate with search of person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, etc. by probation officer, give a DNA sample when directed, sign releases of information as directed, don’t use/possess firearms, ammunition, or explosives. An additional felony charge of second-degree controlled substance sale-10 grams or more of a narcotic drug other than heroin, and a misdemeanor charge of possess/sale small amount of marijuana-no remuneration, were both dismissed.

Juan Migel U. Perez, 18, of Fairmont was convicted of driving without a valid drivers license for vehicle class or type; fined $185. Also convicted of speeding; fined $140.
