John H. Helt III, 42, of Worthington was convicted of driving after revocation; sentenced to jail 45 days, credit for time served three days, defendant to serve remaining jail sentence with good time on or before 9/1/22, work release and STS are granted if eligible. Additional charges of operate motorcycle without protective eyewear, and motor vehicle registration-display another’s plates, were both dismissed.
Kevin M. Helvey, 50, of Mount Pleasant, Wis. was convicted of speeding; fined $125. Also convicted of license plate covers clear or colored; fined $30.
Rogelio Martinez II, 49, of Fairmont was convicted of third-degree driving while impaired-one aggravating factor; fined $910, sentenced to jail 365 days, stayed 335 days for two years, credit for time served 10 days, work release is granted if eligible, two years supervised probation, contact probation officer as directed, complete chemical assessment, follow recommendations of evaluation, no alcohol/controlled substance use with the exception of prescribed medications, no alcohol/controlled substance possession with the exception of prescribed medications, random testing, obtain permission from agent before leaving the state, attend MADD impact panel, complete diagnostic assessment if directed by agent, take medications in the prescribed dosage and frequency, maintain employment, no same or similar, follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact probation agent within 72 hours if charged with a new crime; are in contact with law enforcement; if changes address, employment, or telephone number, cooperate with search of person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, etc. by probation officer, sign releases of information as directed, don’t use/possess firearms, ammunition, or explosives if prohibited by law. Additional charge of second-degree driving while impaired-two or more aggravating factors was dismissed.
