Candace L. Stedman, 40, of Truman received a stay of imposition pursuant to Minnesota statutes on a felony charge of possess ammunition/any firearm-conviction or adjudicated delinquent for crime of violence; fined $1,585, sentenced to jail 25 days, credit for time served 25 days, five years supervised probation, contact probation officer as directed, take medications in the prescribed dosage and frequency, follow all recommendations of the chemical use assessment dated 1-12/21, no alcohol/controlled substance use, no alcohol/controlled substance possession, random testing, continue participating in individual therapy which addresses domestic abuse issues, until discharge is recommended by therapist, no assault, refrain from any abusive, assaultive or violent behavior, follow all conditions set forth in the probation agreement, obtain permission from agent before leaving the state, follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact probation agent within 72 hours if charged with a new crime; are in contact with law enforcement; if changes address, employment, or telephone number, cooperate with search of person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, etc. by probation officer, give a DNA sample when directed, sign releases of information as directed, don’t use/possess firearms, ammunition, or explosives, don’t register to vote or vote until discharged from probation and civil rights are fully restored.

Phillip Potter, 60, of Worthington received a stay of imposition pursuant to Minnesota statutes on a felony charge of criminal vehicular operation-substantial bodily harm under the influence of a controlled substance; fined $1,160, commit to Commissioner of Corrections 13 months, stayed for five years, sentenced to jail 60 days, credit for time served 60 days, five years supervised probation, contact probation officer as directed, provide list of prescribed medications to probation officer, restitution reserved for 60 days, pay restitution, complete chemical assessment within 60 days of sentencing and follow all recommendations of evaluation, successfully complete cognitive skill training program as directed by supervising agent, no alcohol/controlled substance use with the exception of prescribed medications, no alcohol/controlled substance possession, random testing, provide mental health providers information to supervising agent and follow all recommendations for care and aftercare as related to mental health, provide proof of insurance and valid drivers license to agent before operating or owning a motorized vehicle, obtain permission from agent before leaving the state, follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact probation agent within 72 hours if charged with a new crime; are in contact with law enforcement; if changes address, employment, or telephone number, cooperate with search of person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, etc. by probation officer, give a DNA sample when directed, sign releases of information as directed, don’t use/possess firearms, ammunition, or explosives, don’t register to vote or vote until discharged from probation and civil rights are fully restored. An additional felony charge of criminal vehicular operation-substantial bodily harm-gross negligence, and a misdemeanor charge of fourth-degree operate motor vehicle under the influence of a controlled substance, were both dismissed.

Damian J. Chapa, 21, of collision with unattended vehicle-notify victim or police; fined $185, sentenced to jail 30 days, stayed 30 days for one year, one year unsupervised probation, restitution reserved for 30 days, pay restitution if restitution is filed, no same or similar.

Nicole E. Dawson, 26, of Fairmont received a stay of adjudication on a charge of obstruct legal process-interfere with peace officer; fined $100, one year unsupervised probation, pay restitution if filed within 30 days, no same or similar. Additional charge of fourth-degree damage to property-intentional damage-other circumstances was dismissed.

Travis G. Mitchell, 25, of (homeless) was convicted of financial transaction card fraud-use without consent; fined $285, sentenced to jail 365 days, stayed 360 days for two years, credit for time served five days, two years unsupervised probation, restitution reserved for 30 days, pay restitution before paying fine, no same or similar, no contact with victim(s). Also convicted of driving without a valid drivers license for vehicle class or type; fined $185, sentenced to jail five days, credit for time served five days.
