Ashley Jo Torres, 25, of Ceylon; Carlos E. Martinez, 27, of Brownsville, Texas; each fined $225.

Vehicle registration required — Cleveland R. Thompson, 49, of Ceylon; fined $115.

Driving after suspension — Dale W. Steele, 51, of Scottsdale, Ariz.; fined $285.

Tanner R. Klug, 20, of Fairmont received a stay of adjudication on a charge of fifth-degree assault-inflict or attempt bodily harm; fined $175, one year unsupervised monitoring without adjudication, no same or similar.

Jacob R. McDonald, 28, of Welcome was convicted of driving after cancellation; fined $285, sentenced to jail 30 days, stayed 30 days for one year, one year unsupervised probation, no same or similar. Additional charge of failure of driver to carry proof of insurance when operating a vehicle was dismissed.

Richard R. Rochefort Jr., 61, of Fairmont was convicted on a felony charge of fifth-degree controlled substance possession-not small amount of marijuana; fined $1,085, commit to Commissioner of Corrections 15 months, stayed five years, sentenced to jail 13 days, credit for time served 13 days, five years supervised probation, complete a chemical dependency assessment and abide by all recommendations for care and aftercare, contact Brad Larsen with the Fairmont DOC within 24 hours of sentencing and arrange for an initial appointment, obtain permission from agent before leaving the state, no alcohol/controlled substance use with the exception or prescribed medications, no alcohol/controlled substance possession with the exception or prescribed medications, random testing, follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact probation agent within 72 hours if charged with a new crime; are in contact with law enforcement; if changes address, employment, or telephone number, cooperate with search of person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, etc. by probation officer, give a DNA sample when directed, sign releases of information as directed, don’t use/possess firearms, ammunition, or explosives, don’t register to vote or vote until discharged from probation and civil rights are fully restored. Additional charge of possession of drug paraphernalia-use prohibited, was dismissed.

Angel M. Rosario Torres, 36, of Fairmont received a stay of imposition pursuant to Minnesota statutes on a felony charge of threats of violence; fined $1,185, sentenced to jail 60 days, serve as work release, serve 30 days in jail before 4-12-21 and serve as home detention/electronic monitoring before 1-18-21, five years supervised probation, complete a mental health diagnostic assessment within 60 days of sentencing as directed by agent and follow all recommendations for care and aftercare, provide proof of prescribed medications to agent as required, obtain permission from agent before leaving the state, no alcohol/controlled substance use with the exception or prescribed medications, no alcohol/controlled substance possession with the exception or prescribed medications, random testing, contact probation agent within 24 hours, no contact with victim(s), no assaultive, abusive or violent behaviors including harassment, stalking or threats of violence, follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact probation agent within 72 hours if charged with a new crime; are in contact with law enforcement; if changes address, employment, or telephone number, cooperate with search of person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, etc. by probation officer, give a DNA sample when directed, sign releases of information as directed, don’t use/possess firearms, ammunition, or explosives, don’t register to vote or vote until discharged from probation and civil rights are fully restored. Two separate charges of fifth-degree assault-inflict or attempt bodily harm, and three separate charges of disorderly conduct-brawling or fighting, were all dismissed.
