Amber G. Carroll, 39, of Fairmont convicted on a felony charge of fifth-degree controlled substance possession-not small amount of marijuana; fined $85, commit to Commissioner of Corrections 13 months, stayed for five years, sentenced to jail 29 days, credit for time served 29 days, five years supervised probation, sentence to service 10 days for indeterminate, successfully complete chemical dependency treatment as directed and follow all recommendations for care and aftercare, successfully complete the FMJ Adult Drug Court program and follow all recommendations and expectations, successfully complete mental health assessment within 60 days of sentencing and follow all recommendations for care and aftercare, follow all conditions set forth in the probation agreement, employment, maintain employment, no alcohol/controlled substance use, no alcohol/controlled substance possession, random testing, provide list of prescribed medications to probation officer, obtain permission from agent before leaving the state, follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact probation agent within 72 hours if charged with a new crime; are in contact with law enforcement; if changes address, employment, or telephone number, cooperate with search of person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, etc. by probation officer, sign releases of information as directed, give a DNA sample when directed, don’t use/possess firearms, ammunition, or explosives, don’t register to vote or vote until discharged from probation and civil rights are fully restored.

Cassie L. Garman, 40, of Blue Earth received a statutory stay of adjudication on a charge of fifth-degree controlled substance possession-not small amount of marijuana; sentenced to jail two days, credit for time served two days, one year supervised probation, follow all conditions set forth in the probation agreement, complete chemical assessment, follow all recommendations of evaluation, obtain permission from agent before leaving the state, no alcohol/controlled substance use, no alcohol/controlled substance possession, random testing, complete diagnostic assessment and follow all recommendations, remain law-abiding, follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact probation agent within 72 hours if charged with a new crime; are in contact with law enforcement; if changes address, employment, or telephone number, cooperate with search of person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, etc. by probation officer, sign releases of information as directed, don’t use/possess firearms, ammunition, or explosives. Additional charge of possession of drug paraphernalia-use prohibited was dismissed.

Samuel J. Stone, 38, of Sartell, was convicted of second-degree driving while impaired-refuse to submit to chemical test-breath or test refusal or failure; fined $810, sentenced to jail 365 days, stayed 335 days for two years, credit for time served 18 days, two years supervised probation, follow all conditions set forth in the probation agreement, attend MADD impact panel and pay fees, no alcohol/controlled substance use, no use or possession of alcohol or mood-altering chemicals, random testing, obtain permission from agent before leaving the state, complete chemical assessment and follow all recommendations of evaluation, no same or similar, follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact probation agent within 72 hours if charged with a new crime; are in contact with law enforcement; if change address, employment, or telephone number, cooperate with search of person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, etc. by probation officer, sign releases of information as directed, don’t use/possess firearms, ammunition, or explosives, don’t register to vote or vote until discharged from probation and civil rights are fully restored. Additional charges of reckless driving-drives consciously disregarding a substantial or unjustifiable risk, disorderly conduct-offensive/abusive/boisterous/noisy/obscene, open bottle law-possession, and possession of drug paraphernalia-use prohibited, were all dismissed.

Jim L. McElroy, 40, of Westland, Mich. was convicted of driving after suspension; fined $200. Also convicted of speeding; fined $135.
