Failure to wear seat belt while in a motor vehicle — Tracy R. Melson, 60, of Trimont; fined $110.

Move over law violation-two lanes in same direction — Guilherme Voltarelli Donega, 32, of Brooklyn, N.Y.; fined $135.

Unlicensed/inoperable vehicles — Robert S. Mathews, 51, of Welcome; fined $135.

Hands free law-access video content, images, games, software applications — Tasha A. Chasteen, 39, of Sioux City, Iowa; fined $135.

Jonathan M. McCartney, 24, of Fairmont was convicted of fifth-degree misdemeanor assault; sentenced to jail 90 days, stayed 81 days for one year, credit for time served nine days, one year supervised probation, complete domestic abuse batterer’s intervention program and follow all recommendations, no alcohol/controlled substance use, random testing, complete chemical assessment, follow recommendations of evaluation, complete diagnostic assessment, remain law-abiding, follow all conditions set forth in probation agreement, follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact probation agent within 72 hours if charged with a new crime; are in contact with law enforcement; if change address, employment, or telephone number, cooperate with search of person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, etc. by probation officer, sign releases of information as directed, don’t use/possess firearms, ammunition, or explosives. Also convicted of domestic assault-intentionally attempts to inflict bodily harm on another; sentenced to jail 90 days, stayed 81 days for one year, credit for time served nine days, one year supervised probation, complete domestic abuse batterer’s intervention program and follow all recommendations, no alcohol/controlled substance use, random testing, complete chemical assessment, complete diagnostic assessment, remain law-abiding, follow all conditions set forth in probation agreement, report to agent as directed, follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact probation agent within 72 hours if charged with a new crime; are in contact with law enforcement; if change address, employment, or telephone number, cooperate with search of person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, etc. by probation officer, sign releases of information as directed, don’t use/possess firearms, ammunition, or explosives. One felony charge of domestic assault by strangulation, and misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct-brawling or fighting, were both dismissed.

Angel Anna L. Thate, 19, of Fairmont was convicted of underage consumption of alcohol; fined $185. Also convicted of underage possession of alcohol; fined $100.
