Kiwanis to meet
Early Risers Kiwanis of Fairmont will gather for its weekly breakfast at 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 8, at The Ranch restaurant in Fairmont. A meeting at 6:50 a.m. will follow. The meeting’s speaker will be Fairmont Chief of Police Mike Beletti. Beletti will speak about his new role as Fairmont Chief of Police, an overview of the department, where we are at, and upcoming events, plus recent promotions within the department. Attending with Chief Beletti will include Captain Chad Sanow, Sergeant Jason Christenson, Sergeant Parker Stevens and Detective Dayton Asmus. All are welcome to attend.
Any Ability Adult Activity
Any Ability Adult Activity will be from 1 to 2:30 p.m. on Friday, April 10, at the Martin County Library in Fairmont. Participants will make stained glass-inspired art projects. For additional information, contact the Martin County Library at (507) 238-4207.
Center Creek Cemetery annual meeting
The Center Creek Cemetery annual meeting will be at 9 a.m. on Saturday, April 11, at Granada City Hall. For additional information, contact President Linda Hanning at (507) 236-9377.
Fairmont Home Show
The 2026 Fairmont Home Show by Windom Area Health and 106.5 Lakes FM will be from 3 to 8 p.m. on Friday, April 10, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 11 and from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 12, at the Martin County Fairgrounds Arena. Food will be provided by TNT Eats, Qdoba, Rivers Edge Grill, Reve Coffee, Maui Wowi, O’Scoops and Just in Time Concessions. Sunday activities include inflatables, live entertainment by Poppin’ Penelope, face painting, balloons, magic shows and other activities.
KC Silent/Live Auction
The Fairmont Knights of Columbus 34th annual Silent and Live Auction will be at 6 p.m. (silent auction) and 8:30 p.m. (live auction) on Saturday, April 11, at St. John Vianney Catholic School in Fairmont. The event will support CREST and ARC/People First programs. Refreshments will be available for purchase. Auction items include getaway trips, baseball tickets, Tony Oliva signed baseball, Fairmont Raceway tickets, Renaissance Fair tickets, Martin County Fair tickets, meat packages and more.
