Fairmont Service Club to meet
The Fairmont Service Club will have its first quarter business meeting at noon on Tuesday, April 7, at the Best Western hotel in Fairmont. Members are encouraged to attend.
Cancer Support Group
The Lutz Cancer Center in Fairmont will offer a Cancer Support Group at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 7, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Fairmont. This is a monthly support group for patients from any community who have received a cancer diagnosis at any point in their life. The speaker of the month will be Certified Yoga Instructor Emma Franta. Attendees may share experiences and learn about coping with the challenges of cancer. Caregivers are welcome to attend.
FCS Online Auction
Fairmont Christian School (FCS) will have its sixth annual online auction to support the school from Wednesday, April 8 to Monday, April 12. Visit www.32auctions.com/FCS2026 to support.
Junk Journals at Fmt library
A Junk Journal drop-in event for adults will be from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 8, at the Martin County Library in Fairmont. Adults can drop in to learn and build a junk journal over time. CER Abdominal Strengtheners
A workshop to strength abdominal muscles will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Monday, April 13, in a Zoom meeting. Learn a series of extremely effective exercises to quickly strengthen all four layers of abdominal muscles, without stressing back or neck joints and without getting on the floor. Common abdominal exercises like crunches can place too much stress on back and neck joints. Registration is required, costs $29, closes Thursday, April 9 and can be completed on the CER webstore. The American Legion Post 91 will have a Legion meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 9, in Estherville, Iowa.
Dementia Support Group
A Dementia Support Group will be from 3 to 4 p.m. on Thursday, April 9, at Emmet County Public Health in Estherville, Iowa. Care and activities will be provided for attendees with dementia by Public Health staff during the meeting. For additional information, contact (712) 363-9897.
