Kiwanis to meet

Early Risers Kiwanis of Fairmont will gather for their weekly breakfast at 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 17, at The Ranch restaurant in Fairmont. A meeting at 6:50 a.m. will follow. The speaker of the meeting will be Micah Wren of Les Schwab Tire Center. Micah will inform the members about Les Schwab Tire Center’s mission of customer service and their newly opened tire center in Fairmont. The public is invited to attend.

Silo ’67 for Friday karaoke

Silo’67 will have karaoke at 9 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 19, at the Silo’67 bar and grill. Food and refreshments will be available for purchase. For additional information, visit the official ‘Silo 67 Facebook page.

Free testers at Recovery in Motion

Recovery in Motion in Fairmont will offer free-of-charge lifesaving Narcan nasal spray and fentanyl test strips to the public from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 19, at 1100 Indus Street in Fairmont. Without the test strips, visitors can come and learn more about Recovery in Motion and its mission.

SJV to serve free meal

St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Fairmont will serve a free meal at 5 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 21. If you are unable to attend in person, due to lack of transportation, contact (507) 235-2451

CER Acupressure for women ages 35-plus

An acupressure class for women ages 35 and over will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 22 in a Zoom meeting. Learn which points balance hormone levels naturally, including thyroid hormones. The class will discuss breathing techniques, and nutritional musts and more. Registration is required, costs $29, closes Sept 18 and can be completed on the CER webstore. CER Hips, Thighs and Otherwise

A workshop to strengthen lower body muscles will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 23 in a Zoom meeting. In this workshop, you will learn how strengthen lower body muscles quickly and, in the process, increase metabolism and bone density; decrease two inches off saddlebag area in two weeks; trim inches off lower body by getting rid of excess water weight; breathing technique to stimulate fat metabolism; acupressure points for lymph circulation and drainage. Students will need a resistance band, tied in a loop for some of the exercises. Registration is required, costs $29, closes Sept 19 and can be completed on the CER webstore. An acupressure class will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 24 in a Zoom meeting. Students will find sinus relief by stimulating the many points that relieve sinus blockages, headaches and more. CER Instant Guitar

A guitar lessons class for ages 13 and up will be from 1 to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 27 in a Zoom meeting. This crash course will teach basic chords and get students playing along with your favorite songs right away. Fee includes the online book, online follow up lessons, a recording of the class and also an optional periodic question and answer session.
