Kiwanis to meet
Early Risers Kiwanis of Fairmont will gather for their weekly breakfast at 6:30 a.m. on Wednesdays at The Ranch restaurant in Fairmont. A meeting at 6:50 a.m. will follow. The speaker of the meeting will be Associate Pastor of Youth and Outreach at Grace Lutheran Church Pastor Cole McCormick. The public is invited to attend.
Free testers at Recovery in Motion
Recovery in Motion in Fairmont will offer free-of-charge lifesaving Narcan nasal spray and fentanyl test strips to the public from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 12 at 1100 Indus Street in Fairmont. Without the test strips, visitors can come and learn more about Recovery in Motion and its mission.
Silo ’67 for Friday karaoke
Silo’67 will have karaoke at 9 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 12, at the Silo’67 bar and grill. Food and refreshments will be available for purchase. For additional information, visit the official Silo’67 Facebook page.
King Korn Day
King Korn Day will be from 10 a.m. to 1 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 13, at Silo’67 bar and grill in Fairmont. Activities include haystack quarter hunt, pig clip art station, rock painting, seed art, Barnyard Buddies, spin-to-win wheel, photo booth, a performance by Comedy Variety Entertainer Brad Weston, bag tournament, square dancing with the Lake Promenaders, salsa dancing, indoor dance party with Tracy and Liz, beer garden, corn on the cob with additional specials by Silo’67. Relay for Life
American Cancer Society Relay for Life of Martin County will be from 4 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 13 at the Martin County Fairgrounds in Fairmont. Activities include relay, music from The BeeKays, a car show, butterfly release, face painting, pedal pull, silent auction, pork meal, honorary survivor recognition, celebration of survivors, celebration of caregivers and more. Individuals interested in supporting those affected by cancer and research for cancer treatment are welcome to attend.

Line dancing in Ceylon
MW Movement will host line dancing at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 13, at the Lake Belt Bar and Grill in Ceylon. Learn the dance moves and then put them into practice with country, hip hop, R&B and other genres of music. The first half of the event will focus on beginner steps, and the difficulty will gradually increase as the night progresses. Admission is $5 at the door.
David K. Band at the Red Rock Center
The Red Rock Center for the Arts in Fairmont will present the David K. Band, a tribute to Guitarist Roy Orbison, at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 13, at the Red Rock Center. The Garage anniversary celebration
The Garage bar and grill in Armstrong, Iowa will celebrate its one-year anniversary from 7 to 10 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 13. Deals on food and drinks will be available. The Jeremy Dewall Band will perform.
