Wednesday coffee at the Chubb House

The historic Chubb House in Fairmont is open from 10 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, Aug. 27 for coffee and more. Stop in to learn more about the first and only brick home in Martin County, and the man who built it in 1867 for his family, Dr. Orville P. Chubb. Get acquainted with Fairmont’s rich history and the volunteers who have worked hard to preserve this building. Wednesday Community Worship at the Park

Grace Lutheran Church will host Wednesday Community Worship at the Park at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 27, at the Sylvania Park Bandshell. Rain or shine. Messages each week from a variety of local pastors and community members. All are welcome.

UCC to host community meal

First Congregational United Church of Christ will host a free community meal at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 27. The Fairmont Uptown Kiwanis will serve chicken tacos, homemade applesauce, Doritos, bars/cookies and lemonade. Take-out begins at 5:50 p.m. All are welcome.
