Salad lunch at Truman SPL
St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Truman will have its annual salad luncheon from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 16. Take-out and lift are available. The admission for adults is $10, and children 10 and under are $5.
Kiwanis to meet
Early Risers Kiwanis of Fairmont will gather for their weekly breakfast at 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 16, at The Ranch restaurant in Fairmont. A meeting at 6:50 a.m. will follow. The speaker of the meeting will be Walmart Store Manager Sara Barnett-Davis. She will be informing the members about the recent activities at the Fairmont Walmart Store and Walmart’s commitment to the community. The public is invited to attend.
Silo’67 for Friday karaoke

Free testers at Recovery in Motion
Recovery in Motion in Fairmont will offer free-of-charge lifesaving Narcan nasal spray and fentanyl test strips to the public from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, July 18, at 1100 Indus Street in Fairmont. Without the test strips, visitors can come and learn more about Recovery in Motion and its mission.
Family Fun Fridays at Fairmont library

Welcome Summer Festival
The Welcome Summer Festival will be on Friday, July 18, and Saturday, July 19. Activities include live entertainment by the Pop Rocks, food, a beanbag contest, street dance, city-wide rummage sales, bake sales, a parade and softball tournaments. The Fairmont Farmers’ Market will be from 4 to 6 p.m. on Tuesdays and 9 a.m. to noon on Saturdays at the Five Lakes Centre parking lot in Fairmont.
