Kiwanis to meet
Early Risers Kiwanis of Fairmont will gather for their weekly breakfast at 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 9, at The Ranch restaurant in Fairmont. A meeting at 6:50 a.m. will follow. The speaker of the meeting will be CER Director Stephanie Busiahn. Busiahn will be informing the members present about the recent activities pertaining to the city of Fairmont. The public is invited to attend.
4-H activities at libraries
Various 4-H activities for youth will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 9 at the Trimont City Library, 3 p.m. on Wednesday, July 9 at the Truman City Library and 3 p.m. on Thursday, July 10, at the Sherburn Library.
K-4 activities
A variety of K-4 fun for children in grades kindergarten to fourth will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 10, at the Martin County Library in Fairmont. There is no cost to attend. Trimont FunFest
The Trimont Fun Fest will be held from Friday, July 11, to Sunday, July 13, in Trimont. This three-day event celebrates summer. There are activities for the whole family, including sports, Bingo, games, entertainment, food, raffles, silent auction and a parade. For additional information, visit www.trimontfunfest.com
Free testers at Recovery in Motion
Recovery in Motion in Fairmont will offer free-of-charge lifesaving Narcan nasal spray and fentanyl test strips to the public from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, July 11, at 1100 Indus Street in Fairmont. Without the test strips, visitors can come and learn more about Recovery in Motion and its mission.
Silo ’67 for Friday karaoke
Silo ’67 will have karaoke at 9 p.m. on Friday, July 11, at the Silo ’67 bar and grill. Food and refreshments will be available for purchase. For additional information, visit the official ‘Silo 67 Facebook page.
Metal workshop at Fairmont library
Individuals can make art in a city bus turned mobile metal workshop in a come-and-go Wow Mobile Metal Art from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Friday, July 11, at the Martin County Library in Fairmont. Emma Gudahl and Katie Sommer of Fairmont, and Ash Maday of Welcome were named to the Spring 2025 Dean’s List at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls in River Falls, Wis. Gudahl studies Health and Human Performance. Sommer studies Conservation and Environment Planning. Maday studies English.
