Bean bag get-together

Community bean bag games will be at 6:30 p.m. on Monday nights at Gomsrud Park in Fairmont. Any individual of any skill level is welcome. Bring boards, bags and a lawn chair if you have them. For additional information, contact Jim at (507) 235-2414.

Fairmont City Band to play

The Fairmont City Band will perform its first concert of the season at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 10, at the Sylvania Park Band Shell in Fairmont. The band will perform marches, show tunes, and standard concert band literature.

Veterans presentation at Pioneer Museum

A Martin County veterans presentation featuring the military experiences of Del Hiebert will be presented at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 10, at the Pioneer Museum in Fairmont. There is no charge, and the public is invited to attend.

Clay mugs art class

Clay mugs art class will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. on June 17, 18 and July 28, at the Fairmont Elementary School. Get your hands messy and your creativity flowing in this fun-filled summer art class! This class is for third to seventh grade students. This workshop will guide young artists through the process of shaping, sculpting, and decorating their very own ceramic mug. Pick up projects at 9 a.m. on Aug. 5. Registration is required, costs $50, closes June 10 and can be completed on the CER webstore. For additional information, contact CER at (507) 235-3141.

Level two baton twirling

A level two baton twirling class will be from 1 to 1:45 p.m. on Tuesday, June 17, and Wednesday, June 18, at the Fairmont Elementary School. This course is for those who have completed level one baton twirling and are proficient with the basics and are ready to move on to more challenging skills. Batons will be provided for use if you do not have your own. The instructor will set up bonus practice times. Registration is required, costs $24, closes June 10, and can be completed on the CER webstore. For another $25, participants can purchase a baton to take home to practice.
