The Community Covenant Church in Huntley will serve a Wednesday Night Supper from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 7. The menu includes tacos, super nachos, potato oles and assorted desserts. A free-will donation will be accepted.

Hummus Happy Hour at GLC

Learn how to make three to four varieties of hummus from scratch with Farah Siraj at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 8, at the Grace Lutheran Church in Fairmont. Participants will make traditional hummus with za’atar spices, beet hummus, pesto hummus, and traditional “plain” hummus with Farah Siraj and learn about her culture as a singer and musician from Jordan.

Sign Language Basics at the library

Sign Language Basics will be held at 4 p.m. on Thursday, May 8, at the Martin County Library in Fairmont. The class will work on the sign language alphabet and beginner words. All ages are welcome. Facial exercises with Janice Novak

Janice Novak will teach a face exercise class from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Monday, May 12, in a Zoom meeting. Learn simple exercises that will rejuvenate your face.
